Dr. Momina Soudagar Turkey is a neurologist specializing in management of patients with movement disorders, particularly Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, chorea, tics, and tremors. She evaluates patients to determine whether technologies such as deep brain stimulation (DBS) may provide symptom relief. When surgery is warranted, she performs micro-electrode recordings during the procedure and DBS device programming and adjustments after. In addition to surgical interventions, Dr. Soudagar Turkey offer other advanced treatments in her practice, including Botulinum toxin injections for movement disorders, as well as other cutting edge drugs and technologies to help patients manage their condition. Her research interests include identification of new target areas for DBS lead placement. Dr. Soudagar Turkey is an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She is a member of American Association of Neurology and Movement Disorder Society.
